The Netherlands and Belgium warmed up for their World Cup qualifiers by playing out an entertaining 1-1 draw in a glamour friendly at the Amsterdam Arena.
The hosts opened the scoring through Davy Klaassen from the penalty spot after Tottenham’s Jan Vertonghen pulled Jeremain Lens’ shirt inside the box.
But Belgium managed to find an equaliser following sustained pressure from the visitors. Atletico Madrid’s Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco fired a shot from distance, which deflected off the back of Joel Veltman before looping over Maarten Stekelenburg.
