A frustrating night for Belgium, who dropped points for the first time in Group H at King Baudouin stadium against Greece.
Kostantinos Mitroglou’s opening goal at the start of the second half numbed the hosts, who tried minute by minute to break the Greeks’ defence and score the equaliser. Tachtsidis faced the red card (65′) giving the numerical advantage to the Red Devils, who saw Romelu Lukaku saving the night after a top class finish seconds before the 90′ minutes. A full comeback was prevented by Greek keeper Kapino who said no to Romelu’s header seconds before the final whistle.
Finishing the game with nine men, Greece held the tie, earning a hard-fought point full of value against Group H favorites.
