Zenit will face Belgian side Standard De Liege as the draw revealed today in Nyon, Switzerland. The Russians qualified to the play-off round of UEFA Champions League after beating Cypriot side AEL Limassol (3-0) while Standard overpassed Greek side Panathinaikos with a 1-2 away win.
Axel Witsel will face the club where he grew up as a football player (Standard De Liege academy product) and won two leagues (2007-08, 2008-09), one Cup (2010-11), the Best Young Footballer Award in 2007-08 and the Belgian Golden shoe in 2008.
First game will take place in Liege on Wednesday 20th of August and 2nd leg in Petrovsky stadium a week later on Tuesday 26th.
