The Belgian midfielder gives his evaluation of Zenit’s performance in Yekaterinburg and talks about how he took UEFA’s decision to extend his suspension for one more match:
• It was a really difficult match. We started pretty well, managed to score, but then Ural really began to press and evened the score. At half-time, we knew that we were the stronger side and we went back onto the field to win. That kind of mindset was incredibly important.
— You took a pretty big hit at the end of the match. How are you feeling?
• It hurts a little bit, but I feel pretty good, it wasn’t that bad.
— This question isn’t about Ural, but about how you reacted to UEFA’s decision to increase your suspension for one more match?
• Yeah, that’s what they decided. One more match. We’ll see how the situation develops. I hope that they’ll cancel it. This next match is really important for me. I started my career with Standard de Liège and I really hope that I’ll be able to step out onto the pitch there.
