Romelu Lukaku bagged a brace as Belgium warmed up for the World Cup with a 4-0 win over Saudi Arabia on Tuesday night.
The Manchester United striker opened the scoring in just the 13th minute at the King Baudouin Stadium, and then doubled his side’s advantage before half time.
Saudi Arabia attempted to keep the scoreline respectable after the break, and denied the £75million former Everton forward his hat-trick.
But were unable to stop Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi, who is currently on loan at Dortmund, and Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne from making it four.
Belgium and England are the two sides that should progress from Group G when the World Cup gets underway in Russia in a few months time.
Belgium won nine of their 10 qualifying matches in an unbeaten campaign on the road to the finals this summer, with Lukaku scoring 11 in 10 games.
As a result Roberto Martinez’s side are one of the favourites to win the competition – despite the fact they have never done so before in their history.
All of Belgium’s Group G rivals were in action on Tuesday, as Tunisia beat Costa Rica 1-0 and Panama were smashed 6-0 by Switzerland.
