BELGIUM TOO STRONG FOR BOSNIA

National teams re-grouped and went back on the road to reach France as Euro’s 2016 Qualifiers returned after three months. The Red Devils, sitting at second place, wanted the three points against Bosnia & Herzegovina to come closer into securing a place next summer while catching up with first place Wales (playing against Cyprus away at the same time).

It was usual suspect Dzeko, whose header opened the scoring account after 15′ minutes, in what proved to be a mistake after all in King Baudouin stadium.

Belgium managed to turn it completely around starting with their first scorer in the qualifying stage, Marouanne Fellaini (header 23′) and concluding with Manchester City’s new winger Kevin De Bruyne (long shot, 43′) assisted by Axel Witsel, as Wilmots saw his side reacting properly to half time.

Bosnia was dangerous looking for the equalizer and Belgium needed a third goal to clear any doubts of a negative result. Well defended Eden Hazard finally found that inch he wanted and with a beautiful manoeuvre at the edge of the box earned the penalty, personally converted to a third goal for Belgium.

A couple of great saves from Courtois kept the score to 3-1, sealing a very important win for the Red Devils, just before they travel to Cyprus for one of the last three remaining games of the qualifying stage.
