Axel Witsel and his teammates has managed to expand the non – losing – home games – spree to 12 games in the Champions League, after tying up with Atletico Madrid (who have been in scintillating form this season) 1-1 at Petrovski Stadium. Andrian Lopez scored the opening goal for Diego Simone’s club on the 52nd minute and the equalizer came from an amazing own goal by Alderweireld, forming the final score in Russia.
Spalletti’s team now remain in second –qualifying- position within the group, thanks to Porto’s home tie V Austria Wien (1-1), team which the Russian club will face in Austria on December 11th and will decide their European future.
